hey all, membership expires in a few days so making plans for when im f2p again.

 

 

 

ive become interested in the great orb projct and its rewards quite frankly, the robes are a decent f2p mage armour but the most interesting thing was the water talismans...considering mems now use em for summoning is it actually profitable to play the game, get water talismans as a reward and then GE em for 3,400 ish ea??

Yes GOP is extremely profitable but a better way to earn money is to earn tokens in F2p and spend money on pure essence.

Are you referring to runes by accident or the talismans out of a typo? The last time I sold a load of tallies, they sold in a little under 30 seconds.

 

 

 

But yes, get yourself a supah awesome RC outfit (WITH GOGGLES : ) and then play and play until your heart's content. If you plan on using any for essence, wait until you go back to members and then cash them in.

well you don't loose anything meaning its profit

 

probably better to save your tokens and buy essence which you can later use of sell.

 

however if you are planning on staying f2p for a while then just trade for water talismans.

 

another option would be to buy altar tabs, im not sure if these are available in f2p but if they are you can get some crazy rc exp.

Yeah, play GOP. Get the tokens you get from the minigame and buy a FULL set of RC robes (doesn't matter what color, just buy the full set). I tend to use the essence on later altars if essence aren't appearing on the ground. That way, you can get much better XP. Money-wise, try using them on the Air Altar the most.

 

 

 

What you should bring:

 

-Explorer's Ring 3. Restores run energy (which is EXTREMELY crucial) and has a chance of crafting extra runes per essence at regular XP.

 

-Air, Water, and Earth Gloves. Believe it or not these give triple the XP per essence in the minigame so be sure to buy them at FOG.

 

-Full set of runecrafter robes. These help you benefit orb attracting/repelling and also gives an invisible boost to runecrafting (only during the minigames).

 

 

 

Rewards to spend on:

 

-Water talisman. You can make the most money with this, and is arguably the most profitable method to make cash with Runecrafting.

 

-Full set of runecrafter robes. See above.

 

-Essence. You can make a LOT of money with essence, as they are in high demand.

 

-Tele-tabs. Speeds up normal runecrafting quite a bit.

 

 

 

Special notes:

 

-Essence in this game give double the normal XP per essence (which is why the gloves give triple XP).

 

-Green orbs starts at the NE corner each round, if you are a beginner go on green, but keep in mind yellow might place a barrier there when the round starts.

 

-50/50 is a great way to learn the basics.

 

-You cannot enter the game if you are wearing headgear (which means no runecrafter hat) or weaponry (which means no talisman staff).

 

-You will receive a 10-minute penalty if you quit during a middle of a game.

 

 

 

What NOT to do:

 

-Orb-hug. This is attracting an orb and not letting go. You will just waste time and you won't score a precious orb in.

 

-Carry weight-adding stuff. Running is CRUCIAL in this minigame, wearing heavy stuff like armor will just put you into a disadvantage.

 

-Randomly placing barriers. If you place a barrier at the wrong place, this might hinder you and you will have to waste time removing the barrier.

 

-Repel-hug. This is repelling an orb to an extent that it cannot be attracted back anymore. NEVER DO THIS.

thanks for the tips and tricks. Ive never done much with mini games but as f2p wont have as much in it then im gonna give GoP a try as it sounds pretty fun, i know ill get the hang of it after a bit but i dont wanna be the reason teams lose if you know what i mean

I'd advise against getting the tabs since the time it takes to actually get the tabs could generally be spent on actually RCing. They're useful for getting to obscure places though.
