exc4libulz Posted August 29, 2005 Share Posted August 29, 2005 is there a way to scan any kind of dowload file for a keylogger before (or maybe after) downloading it? if there is, how? and if you can only find out after the download, would uninstalling the file remove the keylogger? Pyro Posted August 29, 2005 Share Posted August 29, 2005 No, on both questions. There is no way to guarantee that a file is infection-free, regardless of whether you have downloaded it or not. It is also highly uncommon to make a keylogger uninstall itself when the file used to spread the infection is deleted, since it simply does not make sense.
