deadngone
Hey guys, Its time to talk about FARMING! :D . I have lvl 32 farming and I heard that farming herbs is a good way to make money while doing other stuff. Im gonna do that quest to get magic scetures ( they give more herbs right?). So, I was wondering what is a good herb to be farming at lv 32? Im thinking is ranarrs, but whats after that? Please and thank you for your help. :

And, How much more herbs do I get with magic secture?
weirdoweirdo
Well, right now, the prices for each are: Ranarr seed = 31.4k Grimy ranarr = 7589 Toadflax seed = 798 Grimy toadflax = 2327 Snapdragon seed = 51.7k Grimy snapdragon = 9568 Assuming you get an average of 6 herbs per patch, ranarrs would profit you the most until you can do snaps. You will get the occasional deaths here and there, and some unlucky runs where over half your herbs may die, but on average, ranarrs are the best until you can do snaps. If you want to make sure you profit for sure, do toadflax, but in my opinion ranarrs and snaps make more money in the long run. I believe you get 10% more herbs from magic secateurs, not sure on that one. 1st fire cape May 14, 2009 finally =D.2nd fire cape June 16, 2009 =P. Abc1230
I don't know why people say that snapdragon is so great for money. I usually lose money with snapdragon (using magic sec... whatevers and supercompost). I make more money with kwuarm. You can buy limpwert roots, make super str pots, get herblore exp and make money. Statistically, you can expect 6.5 herbs per seed. The average profit for a snapdragon seed is 10.7k gp. The average profit for a kwuarm seed is 15.1k. The average profit per ranarr seed is 18.2k. The average profit per toadflax seed is 14.6k. So yes, snaps are actually the worst of the four right now, but the prices fluctuate daily. And you will still always average a profit off of snaps--it only takes one successful harvest to make up for a death, and the ratio of success to failure is 9:1. coza_17
Toadflax is best, because if it ends up dead it doesn't really matter. Ranarrs and Snapdragons are still good money though, and if you get a decent harvest can be very profitable.
