If it's used, does it disable the drop during quests?

Players use vengeance for Shilo Village quest all the time. It should work but to be honest, I am not sure why recoils did not work last time. I can pot to 94 mage if you want to try when i get off.

Well, I'm working on Priest In Peril and the lvl30 dog is what I need to kill. I killed it with recoils but the quest didn't update; I'm guessing something needs to drop? So wanted to check and see about Veng.

I did. Both of them, once it was dead. Nothing. As if he was not killed at all.

Did you knock on the doors again after you killed the dog? After this they will send you back to varrock. Hope this helps!
