Deflikt0r
Hi everyone! Welcome to my first guide, Creating and Stabilizing a F2P 99 Strength Pure! [hide=Introduction]Now, you maybe asking, "What in the name of all that's good is a 99 Strength Pure?!?". Well, in my own words, they are the people with 99 strength, 40 attack, and the infamous 1 Defence. Prayer is usually optional on all pures, except for this one. Prayer is not recommended, as it will give you unneeded combat levels. The idea of this pure is to have a 40-99-1-1 set-up. Not a 40-99-1-? (? being whatever the prayer level you want).[/hide] [hide=Weapons] SILVERLIGHT Silverlight, before the runecrafting update, was the best beginning STR Pure weapon. But, now, it has been beaten out by the Talisman Staff. To get Silverlight, you would of needed to gotten in the part of Demon Slayer, when Sir Prysin gives you the sword. IRON To be honest, Iron should be your temporary weapon, if you would ever lose your Staff or Silverlight. TALISMAN STAFF THE ALMIGHTY AND POWERFUL! The best training weapon, in my opinion. It gives you a +33 bonus. It is only rivaled by the Rune Scimitar. RUNE SCIMITAR The only thing that rivals the Talisman Staff. The STR Pure's second best friend.[/hide] [hide=The Beginning (1-30)]Alright, your fresh off of tutorial island, and to be a 99 STR Pure, you gotta finance. How, your probably asking. I got two words for you: AIR RUNNING. Yeah, a old school method being re-incarnated by me. On one of my other skiller accounts, I had found out a method for making money, without mining essence. 1. Go do the Stronghold of Player Saftey. Keep the exp lamps for later. Grab the 10k and buy 245 rune essence and a air tiara at the Grand Exchange. - 2. World hop to World 16 (the official air running world. Walk to Falador, and run the essence until you are out. Only be assisted by people yelling 9x. Give them time to set it up, craft, run to bank. Withdraw. Repeat as said in the first sentence of Step 2. - 3. After the essence is all done, you should have 2,205 air runes. Now, run to Varrock and go sell them. You should sell them for lowest, as they sell fastest for lowest. Then, buy MORE essence with your money. Repeat 2-3. - 4. Do you still have those two exp lamps I told you to keep? Use them both on Runecrafting. That should get you to 9. Then, with the money you made from Air Running, buy 16,723 essence and a water tiara. Yeah, your going to be making Water Runes. - 5. Make water runes until 50, then, you'll be able to do the Great Orb Project, and get the Str Pure's new favorite weapon: The RuneCrafting staff. - 6. Add your choice of talisman. It will still have the same stats as the other ones. The RC Staff is a good weapon, as it has +33 strength bonus :. Alright, now... the training. 1-15: Goblins Now, your saying, "WHAT?!?! I DID ALL THAT HARD WORK TO FIGHT GOBLINS?". No, training should go by fast, due to the fact that you got a weapon that gives a +33 STR bonus. Train attack and strength to 15 here. Best Spot: Lumbridge: Beyond the Bridge Behind the Castle[/hide] Will do the rest of the guide tomorrow. Hands cramping from writing so much.
Youmu
So your guide is basically a Strength-only pure, no Attack, no Defence, no Prayer, no whatsoever? I would say it's a pretty good setup (because of the combat levels), but pures with a rune weapon tend to do even better. No, I'm not discouraging your guide, just putting that point up there. About the weapons, do some comparing with the Talisman Staff to Silverlight or an Iron weapon. Otherwise, getting 50 RC is a waste (even though it is proven that 50 RC F2P can be done within a week). Thanks Sonic! I am going to compare and contrast the Silverlight vs. Iron vs. Talisman Staff. I got a whole notebook of tips. EDIT: Hm, I'm going to put the Weapons as the second section, instead of the 1-30.
Needaname
I think you need to do Rune mysteries quest 1st to be able to rc even via assist. Also you forgot the lamps at the ''new and incomplete'' tutorial from the knight.
Zaaps1
But is the staff really that fast? Sure you can't argue it isn't better than Silverlight, but are the tens of hours needed to get it justified by the extra speed until 40 attack? Let's say it takes 40 hours to get 50 rc and 10k points (guessing here). That would mean that from 1 attack to 40 attack, the staff must be 40 hours better than silverlight. The small bonus is gives doesn't seem to justify that. ~It's Super Effective! But don't see it is just for training a pure, but the ability to acess Rc guild and make money, theres also something called the Rc robes they are the best magic armor in F2P they also 1 Def(i think). By the way i may be able to help im currently doing a pure using this guide.

By the way i may be able to help im currently doing a pure using this guide. Yeah Rc guild makes money, and yeah it's the best 1 def magic armor. But none of that means anything. 1. Rc guild makes money. Extremely little money, that is. Since it's a f2p pure, that means no nat crafting, no pure ess from the guild, etc. You'd barely get off the ground by making money this way. It'd be much better to invest the time into MINING, which is 3x-5x faster xp than runecrafting and also makes much, much more money. 100k per hour on gold is the high-tier f2p moneymaking speed. Outranked only by mining rune and lucky pking/merchanting. 2. The robes are irrelevant. It's a melee pure. You wouldn't use magic anyway. 3. You wouldn't use the robes even if you were a magic pure, or a str pure with magic. The entire set is 3k tokens. That takes something like 2-3 hours to get. You wouldn't want to die and waste 2-3 hours just for a tiny extra bonus over the normal blue magic robes. That just doesn't make sense. ~It's Super Effective! De_Lille_D
Why bother getting the staff? Isn't it faster to just use the best scimi you can? You should do stronghold of security too (gives cash and some fancy boots). RSN: De Lille D [P2P]- Visit my Advanced Farming Route Guide -
Robert_R
Wouldn't it be more usefull to make money on a strength pure by just making money while training strength.....
De_Lille_D
Wouldn't it be more usefull to make money on a strength pure by just making money while training strength..... You'd have to train on a minster that has low attack (since you have 1 defense) and good drops. Try suggesting one. This would be easier for a range pure; they can safespot.
