is there a certain percentage on getting this and what is a good method to get max xp per hour and have a good chance of getting a sceptre

I started plundering at about 76 Thieving and stopped at 96. In that time, I received four Sceptres, so don't expect to get one after only a day or two at Pyramid Plunder.

 

 

 

As for the method you're after, I'd suggest reading a guide. Essentially, however, it'd be best to loot from only the golden chest in each of the rooms until you reach the second-to-last room you can access. Loot the chest there in addition to searching all of the urns for traps--do not loot the urns. Once you've entered the final room, loot all of the urns and the golen chest. It generally isn't considered polite to open the sarcophagi, but if you want to (or are in a world other than the designated plundering world) you should only open the sarcophagus in the last room after you've looted everything else.

When I went for 99 thieving, I looted each and every Golden Chest in the middle of the rooms. I found that it didn't take any amount of time off my plundering, and even if so: I was still able to get over 200k xp an hour.

 

 

 

I advise looting the middle chest in every room. It is actually fairly nice xp as well.

 

 

 

NEVER EVER ever loot the sarcophagus. The other people around you will hate you, and it takes way too long.

From lvl 51-80, I got 1 sceptre. You should loot the gold chest in every room. Right before you get to the next to last room for your level, loot the urns until the green bar is halfway ( or over if you can loot fast ), then go to the last room and loot it all. Dont forget the chest, and never do the sacro.

from 60-70, i got 4 sceptres. one person i know got to 99 w/o one

 

 

 

its so damn unpredictable im not sure if anyone has accurate chance %'s for it
