Featured Replies

Clan events, the bread and butter of many clans, be it Skills, PvP or a mixture or none of these. Having had previous event co-ordinator experience, I'd like to see if the events held by the various clans are innovative or simplistic in creation. By simplistic I mean, is the event a gathering at a minigame, Castle Wars, FOG, Clan Wars or group questing? Something that has already been created in the game for the benefit of group activities. Or is the event innovative? By innovative I mean, has the event been constructed from the ground up, using the elements at hand and not the structures? Example, setting fire to towns, conga lines, fancy dress and inter-clan events that need weeks to months of planning to name but a few.

In my experience, the innovative events showed the greater commitment towards the clan, the creation and the moulding of the event so that it could be as fun if not more so than the simplistic events that are based on gatherings of people at minigames, therefore the ones who could show their innovation were of more worth than the ones who relied upon structures already created in the game.

Though that's just my opinion, I'd like to know what yours are, what events you use, minigames or your own imagination as well as what you believe is the most effective and most enjoyable means of having memorable events. Simplistic, innovative, or a mixture of both?

I believe a mixture of both. Simplistic events are "simplistic' but sometimes that's just what works best. However, the more innovative events are very fun as well provided people have the time to plan them.

We normally have a majority simplistic events as the "bread and butter" and the Event of the Month and Anniversary events tend more to the innovative.
