1) I'd be a 5 or 6 people group at most. Not a small colony. And I definitely wouldn't be leader. That's what I was getting at.

2) Misinterpreted it. I'd let uninfected ones in because they wouldn't be a problem(They can't infect others). But I wouldn't try too hard to take care of them.

 

A full on zombie-assault is headed for your colony: What precautions have you taken for this and what's your course of action?

We'd have a hidey hole they couldn't get to. If we didn't we'd have been dead by that point.

Nah. As it's a group, it'd be whoever joined with me. So, basically I've got Dylan that would join, and that's about it. Any random stragglers that needed help would probably join too.

I think I might start off with a rule of not kids below 10 or 12. Below that i think they would be too much trouble to deal with in a fledgling "colony'. Later once we were settled in for the long haul I'd allow them in.

So I like discussing zombies.

 

Couple of questions.

 

1.If you were a leader of a "colony" of survivors what rules would you make and what would the penalties be?

 

2.What would you do about dogs/cats?

a)They can be infected

b)They cannot be infected

^And for these 2 questions lets assume the "zombie disease" is transmittable by bite only.

Rule 1: no biting

Rule 2: no unprotected sex with zombies

Rule 3: no playing with knives.

Rule 4: anyone with an open wound will be quarantined in a one room cell with them being the only occupant until they healed.

Rule 5: cutters will be thrown out eventually.

Rule 6: For the first few years, no one procreates until the colony is bigger

Rule 7: Wash hands after playing with zombies and before eating.

Rule 8: no cliques consisting of more than 4 people.

Rule 9: If you join the colony, and it is later decided as a group that we need more people... even if you are homo, you'd volunteer your body for procreation.

Rule 10: all rules subject to change at a moment's notice based on Life XP

 

Cats and dogs if they can be infected:

they only bite when provoked.. as long as you keep them healthy they're fine. pets and fighter dogs and kitties must be kept separate to avoid contamination.

 

Cats and dogs if they are unable to be infected:

throw them out to eat the zombies.

 

Penalties: If you kill a human, you get the death penalty, simple.

Rape: Thrown out of the colony.

Stealing: Thrown out of the colony.

Aggravated assault: Thrown out of the colony.

 

Lazy [bleep]s: Get your [cabbage] together or get thrown out.

 

If you're going to be a trouble maker, you are of no use to my colony and deemed a waste of resources.

I think if it was like a toll or something, they could give it back and that would be their only chance to stay, if they stole food or something and consumed it, you're outta there. And along with the first "return" steal again, and you are gone.

Assault I think I'd go with reduced ration's for both parties involved. Tempers are going to flare when you all live that close to one another, they would need to know you mean business, but throwing them out seems a bit extreme.

 

@halo's dog thing. I'd allow hounds too, for tracking game and such. In summary, working dogs.

 

Also something no one has answered but I did put is cats. I'd allow more depending on how many people were there for this simple reason, cats kill rats and mice. Rats and mice are known carriers of regular disease and get into food and such. So a few cats around to keep the vermin population in check could be a good thing.
