As much as I hate /b/ and all that has come from it, the phrase "For the lulz" is the slogan of this thread, and I believe the locking of the thread was just that. Consider it a fun troll, no different from the times I decide to spam 9999x9999 pixels big images, or when we use autoplay on youtube videos, or that time Halo and Goon had to deal with the Mexican drug dealer and the dead hooker. shiny, locking a thread just because you don't like what people are posting (ie the arrows) isn't very nice, and explains why no one likes you. the whole point of this thread is to be the last person who posts. incase you've forgotten. and in a thread like this, you don't particularly need to have a discussion. you just need to post something. i feel that your... attitude in locking this thread and then unlocking it only after you've had a pm is childish, and a full abuse of your moderating powers.

 

now you tried to cover up your reasons for locking the the thread by saying that posting an arrow smiliey is spam, and that the forum rules clearly state that... there will be no spamming in forum games. what you fail to realise is that almost all of the forum games are actually spam threads. all of the counting threads. all of the TPUM and TORTATPUM and even the "you're banned thread". in a case like this, even spamming can be seen as... simply replying to the thread. also.. the only thing that is generally against the rules is double posting. however, you haven't mentioned that. this thread is rife with doubleposting.

 

i've long said that people in positions of power are subject to being led astray and abusing their positions. i truely think that threatening forum gamers, and then actually locking the thread is not something that would make anyone respect you. as it is you've lost my full respect, and i don't think you should post here anymore if this will be your behaviour in the future.

 

it seems like you locked this thread, and then refused to unlock it until someone sent you a pm, requesting the thread being unblocked, and giving a good reason why the thread should be unlocked.

 

it also seems like halo sent said pm to you, stating an adequate (to your sick sense of humour and thirst to feel important) reason/reasons as to why you should unlock this thread.

I really don't care for cell phones. I have some moments where one would be handy, but all of my friends have one. So its like. Whats the point?

The only reason I have a cellphone is because my aunt can get them for free. They are over rated.

Man, if I were a teacher, I'd have a no tolerance cell phone rule. I can't stand people that talk/text during class. Such a waste of space and useless.
