After taking a couple education courses I found that I would make a shitty teacher.

Really. We had to assistant teach some classes and I just didn't have it; whatever "it" is.

Not 100% what I'm gonna do now. Probably nothing history related.

Kind of sucks, I'm taking general courses at college right now with absolutely no idea what I'm going to be doing 5 years from now.

I've got that whole limbo-ey thing going.

I figure at least I'm in school doing something.

I'm going to milk Goon's teats

That actually really sucks.

Yeah

My friend's brother went through that, he ended up dropping out after 3 months of college.

Yeah, I was pretty lost for a while after those "learn to be a teacher" education courses.

What do you like other than history?

What did you plan on getting into when you were younger?

Be a vet since you love cats.

Vet jobs are horrible if the only reason you're getting into them is that you like animals. There has to be more reason than that. Especially considering you end up with a shit ton of debt because of loans to get through too many years of college.

I've been really enjoying this zoology class I'm taking. And I figure I really like working with animals (used to volunteer at shelters and stuff back when I lived in PA) and going to the zoo and stuff, so I might be looking at zoology to be a zoo keeper or research or something. But who knows.

@who: Exactly, that's why I'm kind of hesitating to go any further with it.

I'm going to milk Goon's teats

Yeah, I know. It sucks.

Working at a zoo would be infinitely better than working as a vet unless you legitimately enjoy science and such.

No matter what, when you go to college you're going to be spending a ridiculous amount of money.

Depends if you can afford it or not.

I know I would have to push myself through school while living on my own, so I think I'll be forced to have loans.

I'm fairly certain you can't get through 6 years of college on scholarships. My sister-in-law's a vet. She ended up going to school 7+ years (She lost some because the original college she went to dropped the program). She has $200,000 in debt. However, she had some extremely nice scholarships and that kind of stuff, and her parents are relatively rich. So that's only what she paid.

On the other hand, my brother went through college with no debt at all. In fact, the only reason he did have any loans to pay off after college was because he bought a car so he could visit my sister-in-law after she moved to a college 2 states away. He went to school 4 years for his bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.

No, you're right. You should work 24/7 at a minimum wage job for 40 years first so you can afford it.

You're going to be working 40 years at a minimum wage job 24/7 to pay off the debt anyways.

So, why not?

Seeing how our country really is [bleep]ing stupid when it comes to education, I might just apply for job training instead.

Or I'll move to Sweden.

Eh, tbh, most people don't even make it through college. It's not as big a deal as everyone makes it out to be. It's nice, but not absolutely necessary.
