Yeah, I'm not actually going to go into video game design, mostly for the reasons I listed. Particularly the lack of genre knowledge. However, I still haven't let go of programming. I dunno, just kind of what I want to do, I'm pretty sure.

Well, that's why you would go to school. To learn about it. And it probably doesn't help if you're going to be ignorant about it in the first place. Just saying.

I mean my ignorance of the genre as a whole. I haven't played a single Halo game, the most recent game I've played was Brawl, or maybe Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. (Discounting minecraft). I don't play a lot of video games, and what I do play is old as [bleep]. It's not that I can't play newer games, and thus learn more about modern gaming. It's that I don't want to.

Crystal Chronicles was pretty okay. I never got far with it, but I have fond memories.

I was a big fan of the Final Fantasy games, back in the day. I hated Crystal Chronicles. The story wasn't any good, and the game play sucked, even for a Wii game. It was all about eye candy. So disappointing.
