For a few reasons:1) The only reason they were in there was to give the story a climax, as far as I could tell.2) It wouldn't have been popular without the vampires.3) I wouldn't have read it if it weren't popular. But, anyway, you guys will never have to hear of this again, for I shall safely bury this memory and everything that resides with it in the deepest, darkest sewers of my mind.
