I feel so lost whenever I see people discussing music :?Obviously it is largely a matter of preference, but I think a fairly large part of it is what you hear when you are young. For instance the song Mambo No 5, everything about it i should dislike, based on my other preferences. However as a kid my dad always used to listen to it, so my liking it was ingrained. Also my mom used to listen to a lot of country, I don't listen too it a lot but I find the general style always seems appealing. I think a person's emotional/personality specifics decide the rest. Like i said earlier I'm not too fond of overly emotional music, but nor am I fond of really heavy metal, I prefer a middle ground. Something with no rhythm whatsoever though I think would be universally hated.Lolno. I will agree Nostalgia has something to do with music, but I know what kind of music my friend and I grew up listening to-90's style pop-and my friend hates listening to that music now. Like, he yelled at me today to change from the 90's station. That, and, all the kids at school are pretty much rap lovers. 90's rap was so much different than today's rap.I actually have to agree with him. When I was little all my dad used to listen to was rock and "variety" stations and though I've moved away from the mainstream "variety" type music I still listen to the older stuff that used to be on them occasionally. Of course my favorite genre is still rock which may have been influenced by always hearing it as a kid. On the other hand my mom pretty much listened only to The Beatles and similar bands, and I really don't like them now so it kind of goes both ways. Also, did you get the guest pass?
