Themes.

If it's the forum style, or the background colours that you select in the top boxes, which you probably mean by 'themes', then yes.

Clicking on those basically tells the browser to always use that colour or theme. As when you click on one it shoudl always be automatically set to that colour or specification that was in that cookie.

If it happens like every time you visit the site, that it gets reset, then it's a browser problem. However if it's only occasionally, then it's either just the cookie expiring, or you've just cleared your cache or the memory for that cookie was deleted to make room for something else.

Still:

Do you still get auto-logged in upon visit to the forums?

Does this happen on other websites?

Your security settings could be the problem, which block cookies from being stored on your computer at all or for periods of time.

But short answer, you should always be logging in auotmatically, with the background or forum style you selected beforehand, without having to worry about it again.

I do not log in automatically, although I used to. I'll have to check that out to see if it helps. It is all the time. And I use Firefox and I don't think it's my cookies because Firefox remembers my username and password every visit and I just click the button.

Thanks. I'll post back to see if it works.

The thing remembering your username and password is just from your cache or auto-form fill... I don't know if it is connected to cookies or if it's a stored database...but someone else could probably fill you in on that.

If you don't know how to check the privacy or if you're not sure where specifically:

Tools > Options > Privacy:

- Make sure 'always clear my private data when I close Firefox' is not selected.

- For 'Cookies' make sure everything is accepted and the option box is 'they expire'.

Check that and get back with an answer.
