I'm thinking of getting one of the Intuos tablets (currently using a very old and broken GraphireI). But now I'm wondering - is the GraphireIII better?

i think its personal prefrence really

Generally they are better than the Graphires... At least in my experience.

I was thinking of the Intuos3, probably size 6x8.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My current Graphire is small and easy to pack, so I would probably keep it to travel with (ie: weekend residences).

I have an intuos 1 and I like it better than my wife's graphire 3.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So even if you get an older intuos it might be worth it. The little integrated buttons and all are alright, but the big thing for me is the TILT. It senses the tilt and you can set your usual level of tilt. Now evertime I use the wifey's I notice the difference.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of course...she never used mine much, and likes hers just fine.

I agree. Also, bigger isn't always better. Tablet sizes should depend on your stroke size.. in most people, that would be small.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personally I have the Intuos3 6x8 and am quite pleased. Though ironically, shortly after buying it I had a great urge to go back to traditional and i'll be damned if I didn't stick to it. XP Oh well, they don't go bad.

I've used almost every size tablet there is, and I like the 6x8 Intuos the best I think.... It's the perfect size, just big enough but not too big. I've used the huge 18x24 pads or whatever size they are too.... gets your arm tired kinda quick, but it's necessary for what we use it for....
