Want to buy a Desktop EDIT: CUSTOM BUILD- HELP

Featured Replies

I would like to either buy or build a desktop, and I think I found a very good deal at ibuypower.com. The thing is, I don't really know the validity of the site, and their warranty policies, etc. So basically, I just want to know if this is a good deal, and if you have a better idea for a good build in which I can play different demanding computer games with, then please give me advice.

All for $969....I don't know the shipping and handling costs, but it seems to cost a very reasonable price for what it offers. Of course it does not include an LCD monitor so I will have to buy one of those from another location.

EDIT: Are all of these components compatible with each other? Do I need an Antec 900 Full Tower or have to change the power supply?

do not buy from ibuypower. They're terrible. A friend of mine ordered a PC from there and has had nothing but problems with it, and their support is horrible. If you're buying prebuilt buy from a reputable company, although building your own would be much better.

So what are some of these reputable prebuilt places? Dell and HP? Or otherwise what is a good $1000 build using sites like newegg for computer components?

$1,073.53

$661.58

Two alternatives, i suppose since you want to spend 1k, go for the 1k computer.
