June 14, 200917 yr I want to get my Mining up to 70 (I'm at 60 currently), but I'm unsure on what to mine, and where. On one hand, I'd like exp, but on the other, it'd be nice to be able to get to 75 (73 atm) Smithing with the ores? Any ideas? Gardening for Victory!
June 14, 200917 yr The fastest would be granite, without a doubt. But if you plan to smith along the way, then why don't you mine mithril and then superheat the ores? It seems like a widely-used f2p option in the mining guild. 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
June 14, 200917 yr Yes, but that way you'd be maximizing profits assuming you'd buy nature runes, and it would help "clear" your invnetory of coal when you're mining  95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
June 14, 200917 yr You'll be mostly mining coal, which is reasonably fast XP for using the ores. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
June 14, 200917 yr Author I guess so. Does anyone have any idea on the exp rates? Gardening for Victory!
June 14, 200917 yr Probably in the neighborhood of 15-18k XP per hour, at level 60. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
June 14, 200917 yr Author Eech. At ~430k to 70, that's quite a few hours. But then, I have the smithing and magic exp (as well as all the cash) to consider. Thanks everyone :) Gardening for Victory!
June 14, 200917 yr Author Unfortunately, I'm 4 levels off a Kyatt. :( And I can't do Dream Mentor (I'm 13 combat levels off..) for Humidify, and the desert effect really annoys me. I might give it a go, it's meant to be good exp. Gardening for Victory!

I might give it a go, it's meant to be good exp. you don't need humidify to stay in the desert, just bring an inventory of waterskins and drop the granite after mining it
