I have 37 heblore now and I want to have 45 for Legend's Quest.

Whats the most profitable way to train heblore? :geek:

If you want a quick way to train herblore, buy the 1st ingredients and the 2nds and sell the products.

I'd suggest doing serums until you hit 38, then prayer pots all the way to 45.

If you want a "profitable" but slow way, you can buy the first ingredients and collect the 2nds.

Prayer Potion - Buy Ranarrs, Collect Snapes on Waterbirth.

^ I can't even guarantee that will profit. (I'm pretty sure Prayers don't)

(Unless you collect both 1sts and 2nds, which would take way too long) :ohnoes:

Actually the pray pots (3) sell for less than the actual ranarrs... so you wouldn't make money... but it wouldn't really be that much of a cost.. as to go from 38-45 is about 400 pray pots... So you are losing about 250-300 on each pray pot (if you collect 2nd ingredient on your own).. so its a 100-120k loss after you sell them all.. which isnt bad.

You might want to check out the g/e - find the prices of the herbs, their secondaries (which you may not even need to buy as you may be better off collecting on your own), and then finding the price of the potion itself you'd sell back to the g/e (be aware that not all pots are sought after).

E.g.

Marrentils are 117 (clean) and 224 (grimy)... antipoison(3) sell for 485.

You could buy the waterfilled vials (67 each).. but you'd have to collect the secondaries yourself (lvl 22 wild is a good spot for unicorns).. 900 of them.

You need approximately 900 antipoison for lvl 45. I'm sure they'd sell easily.. I've been gone for years, but I'm sure that's one thing that hasn't changed. But that's just one idea.. I'm sure you could find another plan by just checking out the prices yourself.

Farming has always been a companion skill to herblore for me. Just like woodcutting is to fletching or fming or fishing is to cooking.

Grow some herbs and use those for your potions.

But if you can't really be bothered, Penguins ftw
