June 18, 200917 yr Hi all, This is a little bug/glitch which has been annoying me on/off for a while. If I want to hide a long quote I normally use the hide tags. This works fine as long as they don't have a hide tag in there post. This works with embedded hide tags of any sort, not only when within quote tags. Examples [hide=Long quote]Long quote goes here[/hide] [hide=Long quote] [quote]Long quote goes here[/quote][/hide] [hide=Long quote]Long quote[hide=]Hidden item in the long quote[/hide][/hide] [hide=Long quote] [quote]Long quote[hide=]Hidden item in the long quote[/hide][/quote][/hide] Not only does it mean you either have to remove the hide tags from either the quote, which makes the post much longer then needs be, but if you don't remove them it mucks up the rest of the post. Note this text below the example is not in a smaller case or different text tag its smaller because of part of the glitch. If you let me know which mod you used for the hide tag I can have a look at it for you. But embedded hide tags are certainly something that we'd all like to see and hopefully it will become available in the future! Indeed. June 18, 200917 yr Author Been looking into this and the smaller text shouldn't be happening it seems like a bug in the theme. As for the hide tags I'm playing around with the bbcode.php file and have about created a tweak which should allow it. I'll post back if I manage to get it working without any trouble. June 23, 200917 yr I've found a way around this, it would require a mod but I haven't had time to write it.
