You can safe-spot the Bandos Avatar using Ranged (and presumably, Magic and a halberd) as long as you don't do it while standing beside him (he'll never approach you to melee you). In addition, you can't set up a Cannon during the fight.

Interestingly, you can do the Tears of Guthix during the quest (I had to wait 4 days to see if I could do this). This is useful if you're the kind of person who doesn't take the time to go there (like me; I did the Tears while I was in the area during the quest).

During Step 30, you have to give the -Bandos- Pendant to Zanik, but it doesn't say that in the Tip.it guide.

Under Step 18, it gives the options that you should say. Some of them don't match what's in-game (I didn't get a screenie of them all).

Additionally, there are more chat options before what is listed in the walkthrough, but I didn't get a screenie of them because I didn't realize they weren't listed in the walkthrough until after I had gone through them.
