June 25, 200917 yr Get a maple blackjack as it has the highest success rate. I'm 100% sure your thieving level does affect the success rate of knocking them out as it is the only thing you can fail at when blackjacking. (They're knocked out when you pickpocket them so as long as they don't wake up with your hands in their pockets they will never catch you at that part.)
