Yes_Its_Ross
About an hour in (sometimes less) playing the Sims 2 it lags and then turns off. My screen goes into a different setting (everything is big and the colors seem inverted) and 2 pop-ups come up. I wrote down what they said: [hide=Windows - Display Driver Stopped Responding]The ialmrnt5 display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system to restore full display functionality. The next time you reboot the machine a dialog will be displayed giving you a chance to upload data about this failure to microsoft.[/hide] [hide=The Sims 2]The graphics adapter in this system experienced an internal error. Please contact your graphics adapter manufacturer for technical support. The application will now terminate.[/hide] After I hit ok to the pop-ups I restart my computer and everything seems to go back to normal. Can you guys help? :wall: ]
sloter
Sounds like your resolution goes low and you are going into 16 bit colors. Have you reinstalled your graphics driver? What graphics card do you have?
Yes_Its_Ross
I have no idea to be honest. The graphics card came pre-installed. Can you tell me how to check? Or how to reinstall my graphics driver? ]
OldJoe
It's an Intel gpu. Right click on your wallpaper (i forgot the proper english word lol) - properties - settings. It should say "Intel..." something.
