Runescape Won't Load...

Recommended Posts

Long story short: I just built myself a new computer and when I try and load Runescape, no loading bar pops up. It's just a black screen. I've been messing around with Java options for a while to no avail. Help would be appreciated. -.-

Important System Specs:

-Nvidia GTX 295

-Intel Core i7 920 ~3.6 GHz

-6 GB Corsair Dominator 1066 RAM

The latest graphics drivers are installed, and the latest Java is installed too.

Windows Vista 64-bit

Firefox 3.5 (fully updated)

I believe it works in IE?

The solution is simple, open the Java control panel, make sure the Mozilla family is enabled in the defaults and uncheck the new generation thing. I'm not on my Vista 64bit computer right now so I can't make sure that's what I did, but I think that's what I did to make it work in Firefox.

Works like a charm too.

I tried what sbrideau2000 said to do and the Mozilla family was already enabled. I unchecked it and checked it back to make sure. Still only a black box... Oh, and it does work on IE, but I hate using IE. If only it would work... #-o

Ok try this:

Copy the following files:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\npdeploytk.dll

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\npjpi160_13.dll (Last 6 chars may vary)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\npoji610.dll (Last 3 chars may vary

To:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\plugins

Then:

Restart Firefox.

*Note that the directories may vary becuase of where you installed the applications.

Did you try the second part of what I said?

In the plugin-java part, uncheck the activate.... option (the only option there should be).

Apparently, it decided to work randomly after a couple of days without doing anything relevant. :wall: Thanks for the help! \'
