After I unlock the knowledge of making rings of slaying, can I use the assist system to craft them as I am not high enough to craft them.

Yes you can, you only need 55 crafting to make the helm.

 

 

 

I would advise that you make several rings at once so you don't have to look for someone when it runes out of uses.
