Just looking at multiple options and which will suit my needs. I want an area which is preferably not as crowded. I will be using mousekeys to drop, so I think it will be less stressful than when I last tried it. My goal is around 85 or so. (I would really like 99 but I want to start of with something smaller)

Any place where there are multiple iron ores near each other. Most common are probably Al Kahrid and Rimmington. Also if you decide to do it in Rimmington you can also sell the ores to the general store for a small amount of gp. Make sure you do it on a full, or near full, world as it takes less time for the ore to respawn.

South of Piscatoris fishing colony, three iron ores. No need to move, most of the time is empty. Why dont you mine granite in the desert? That is the best xp.

Sorry, saw your stats is member and forgot you were asking f2p. No good places for three ores that is empty. There are some places that have 2 ores tgether. You need to wait a bit even in a full world.

If you do mine 2, drop 2 on a full world, it isn't that bad, and it increases the # of spots you can use. I prefer the 2 iron spot at the ice mountain entrance to the dwarven mines.

 

 

 

I also like to take nats and superheat the iron and smith stuff on the anvil down there.

there are 4 iron rocks southwest of varrok. its a bit further from a bank than other places, but you can get it going so you are mining 3 in a row, with a maybe 5 second break.

 

 

 

PS. you will inevitably piss off a lot of low levels players here, but you can't beat the ore gathering rate.

You inevitably run into other people who mine there with rune picks. It really disturbs your iron mining.

Thanks guys for your help, I will probably choose a high populated world and drop while I wait for the next spawn. If anybody is wondering which spot I chose, I picked Al-Kharid as it already has multiple two rock spots and I have faced no competition at all.
