Going f2p... Money making???

Featured Replies

Damn it, I hate the misconception that mining coal is good money.

It isn't!

With the level required being 30, and the easiness of mining it in Dwarven mines and whatnot, it isnt hard, it's quite easy to make money doing this. Although it isnt much, it's easier than alot of other things since the level is low, and the skill is tedious, so you may as well make money getting it up too.

My 2 cents from when I was a F2Per.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Play GOP.

Sure its not great in f2p, but assuming your going p2p again another time, you can cash them in when you go back to p2p.

O.O

I don't know them, but don't do gold/coal; gold is ridiculously inefficient in F2P, and so is coal.

I'd do iron at Varrock East. Uhm, I used to have the exp/gp rates, let me find 'em and I'll edit my post.

Iron @ Varrock East can be 400+ Ores and hour. So that's 12.5K exp/hour and 40K gp... (this seems really low...)

As mentioned before, clay is better money... but horrible experience.

Gold isnt that bad. It just takes a while until people [bleep] off and you have the spot to yourself.

Well.

Rimmington isn't great, the long run to Draynor/Fally ruins it, IMO.

Karamja/Crandor are wayyyyyy too far away.

Dwarven Mine is decent, but the two rocks may be crowded.

Al Kharid is alright, if you wear an Explorers Ring (3) for run restores.

Crafting Guild is also really far away.

Idk, my just be my opinion as I'm actually training to 99 Mining, good exp/cash is better than poor exp/better cash.

Oh, if you do something involving running with an inventory full of ores, don't run while your inventory is full, waste of energy. Just run back when your inventory is empty.

Fally teleport at Crafting guild is pretty decent if you're the only person mining there. If you arent then gold really does suck. It is, however, without a doubt a pretty good way to make money in F2P, there's no denying. The best real cash (screw 26king) is less than 100k an hour..

Or was when I was F2P. that was a while back though.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Check my sig, bottom right corner

But yeah, F2P has little money. It's rather easy and sometimes good to be self-sufficient whilst F2P.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Honestly mining gold ore is one of the better methods of making money in ftp, and it is better than fishing etc as someone metioned.

I could make between 50-100k (cant remember for sure) per hour mining in the crafting guild and banking with cabbage port. If there are people there, and you have a vaguely decent mining level, they'll log pretty quickly once you've outmined them a few times.
