If I turn all the settings on my laptop down then i can just get three hours of battery life. I'd like more and have heard of 12 cell batteries.

Two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time. As a result, a twelve cell battery is going to increase the size and weight of your laptop by a large amount. I bought mine from the manufacturers (HP) website but I know that many third-party websites carry batteries as well.

Weight is not a huge issue as long as it's not over 2-3 lbs.

I have a 12-cell battery and the thing is amazing. I'd reccomend it.

When I upgraded from a 6 cell to a 12 cell it easily added two lbs. Perhaps more. I'd weigh it but it's stuck in the laptop now.
