Uneccessary files

Featured Replies

I have a game, the directory contains 8 files, I need to know the purpose of them. I am used to dealing with .iso and .bin/.cue but I have never seen this type of image files. I use Alcohol 120% to mount them as virtual drives so I want to know which ones I still need.

Here are the names and file sizes:

Game CD 1.sub 32,536 KB

Game CD 2.sub 32,847 KB

Game CD 1.img 804,741 KB

Game CD 2.img 797,131 KB

Game CD 1.cue 1 KB

Game CD 2.cue 1 KB

Game CD 1.ccd 1 KB

Game CD 2.ccd 1 KB

So far I have figured that the .ccd and .sub files belong together, I just dont understand the purpose of the .img and the .cue files without a .bin file.

Further more can I turn the .ccd and .sub into a .iso?

The CCD, CUE and SUB files are used automaticly along with the IMG if necesary. You don't need to mount them but you should not delete tehm.

No, but you can convert one set of CCD/CUE/SUB/IMG into one ISO. This would however be counterproductive.

Never mind. I converted both of the CD images to .iso's.

Not only is it more efficient with only needing 2 files, but its also 200megs smaller now.

Thanks tho.

Those megs didn't contain null however, and many games will become unuseable by converting due to copy-protection. However, I suspect you've downloaded some cracked version of a game in any case, and then it clearly doesn't matter.
