August 11, 200916 yr I'm a Warcraft 3 player, so I'm used to overhead strategy games. Although after playing WC3, i can't stand the operating of MA. I find the control stiff, and repetitive. But since i can't pass up those rings, i was wondering roughly how long it takes for the rating needed for the rings(onyx, zerker, ranger, warrior ect). And some other questions. As i haven't played the game much, i was wondering a few things: The difference between light and heavy. Which mode is most efficient for points/ratings. What's a good strategy for beginners. What formation is best for which modes. Thanks! Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
August 11, 200916 yr You need 300 rating. Each game is worth up to 2 rating. Games last anywhere from 4-30 minutes. Even at top speed you're looking at a minimum of ~30 hours. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP

Light moves faster but is weaker, heavy is slower but stronger Which mode is most efficient for points/ratings. Just use a ma clan =P What's a good strategy for beginners. (see above) YouTube

The "fast ma" clan is probably the best-known one...they use all light troops, and every team except the designated winner attacks the castle in siege mode. Then as soon as the timer hits 26 minutes (any sooner and you don't get rewards) everyone uses cannons to kill off all the troops at the same time. You should find their thread on the official forums. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP

I am currently 200 but maybe some day I might go for 300. (oh well, now people are all saying "get MA ranks now, or never!" -.-) Btw, for ranks without a clan, just go conflict with all light units, take 3 to left foe, 3 to right foe, 4 to the opposite foe and let them die. Remember to survive for 4min+. Examine ChenGMT (level: 138)
