Can't stand MA, although those rings...

Featured Replies

I'm a Warcraft 3 player, so I'm used to overhead strategy games.

Although after playing WC3, i can't stand the operating of MA. I find the control stiff, and repetitive.

But since i can't pass up those rings, i was wondering roughly how long it takes for the rating needed for the rings(onyx, zerker, ranger, warrior ect).

And some other questions.

As i haven't played the game much, i was wondering a few things:

The difference between light and heavy.

Which mode is most efficient for points/ratings.

What's a good strategy for beginners.

What formation is best for which modes.

Thanks!

You need 300 rating. Each game is worth up to 2 rating. Games last anywhere from 4-30 minutes. Even at top speed you're looking at a minimum of ~30 hours.

Light moves faster but is weaker, heavy is slower but stronger

Just use a ma clan =P

A popular strategy is the organized group suicide. The "fast ma" clan is probably the best-known one...they use all light troops, and every team except the designated winner attacks the castle in siege mode. Then as soon as the timer hits 26 minutes (any sooner and you don't get rewards) everyone uses cannons to kill off all the troops at the same time. You should find their thread on the official forums.

When does fast ma operates? It seems that everytime I join their chat, there is only a few people there.

I am currently 200 but maybe some day I might go for 300. (oh well, now people are all saying "get MA ranks now, or never!" -.-)

Btw, for ranks without a clan, just go conflict with all light units, take 3 to left foe, 3 to right foe, 4 to the opposite foe and let them die. Remember to survive for 4min+.
