August 11, 200916 yr Figure my stats were good enough to try this out, havn't done it yet, but.. I am using this setup currently. I tried to keep it cheap, and hope to make some profit from this to afford a better outfit. Here is my inventory: Once again, cheap. I am using Azurechaos' guide: viewtopic.php?t=667906 My question is, should this be how attack all the brothers: Dharok - Melee + Pray Melee Karil - Melee Ahrim - Range Verac - Mage Torag - Mage Guthan - Mage I hope this is correct, if not, could someone help me with the setup/attacks I only have about 3.1M left and would like to keep most of it, if not, tell me what needs to be bought. Thanks for any help!
August 11, 200916 yr Mage Dharok with protect melee, pray range, use melee against karil, kill ahrim with protect mage and range, if any leftover prayer kill verac with protect melee while you use magic; Mage guthan and torag, no really need to use protect melee, unless you're under 80 def (didn't see your stats)
August 11, 200916 yr Mage Dharok with protect melee, pray range, use melee against karil, kill ahrim with protect mage and range, if any leftover prayer kill verac with protect melee while you use magic; Mage guthan and torag, no really need to use protect melee, unless you're under 80 def (didn't see your stats) This, except pray mystic might against Verac instead of melee, because he usually hits through prayer. Depending on your melee and magic levels, you may want to mage Karil as well (he has a great magic defense bonus, but his magic level is 1, so it's equivalent to meleeing someone with 1 defense). I'm 83 Strength and Attack, and 81 Mage, and I find it faster to slayer dart Karil than DDS + Whip. Things that could be better with your setup: [*:2vpcwxsu]Get at least mystic boots (they're only about 5k if you buy the blue ones) or higher mage boots [*:2vpcwxsu]Get Verac's Brassard (and Helm if you really want it and have the money) [*:2vpcwxsu]Get a Fury [*:2vpcwxsu]Get an Unholy book [*:2vpcwxsu]Any imbued ring would be nice, but isn't really necessary. Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3
August 11, 200916 yr Author Oh, ok cool. Just finished my first run and got: Karil's coif 37 Bolt rack 802 Coins 246 chaos runes Not bad for first run.
August 11, 200916 yr I would get verac's helmet (or guthan till torag gets done being merchanted), fury, mystic boots or better, switch obby shield for defender or unholy book, and yeah definitely mage dharok since he is the most dangerous. EDIT: Bring a mage arena cape also, the +10 magic will help more than the small def bonus
August 12, 200916 yr I usually mage in full guth, with a god cape and mystic boots for mage bonus. For dharok I usally take my armor off or swap with d hide, to increase my mage attack bonus. I also prefer to whip karil and ahrim, rather than take a bow.
August 12, 200916 yr This, except pray mystic might against Verac instead of melee, because he usually hits through prayer. Well, he hits through prayer, but with prayer on, his max hit is 15 and he's less accurate than with prayer off, where his max hit is 21. Yes, maging karil works well also.
August 12, 200916 yr Take Ring of Life. Replace snake skin with any magic bonus giving boots. Replace ahrims top with veracs or a barrows melee top. Replace the cape with god cape (not cloak) Replace the shield with spirit shield if you have it as its ideal here. Take rune defender and a combat pot. As long as your above -15 magic attack you'll not splash too much and the extra defense helps a bundle. Personally I use karils top and bottoms with whip/rune def for ahrims as he misses a lot and the damage he takes is alway fast enough. Like Jeffwilson99 said wear dhide for the prayed on melee brothers (tbh it should only be dharok and maybe veracs) as it speeds up the kills enough to justify the time spent switching over. August 12, 200916 yr You don't need the ahrim top, get a brassard. Get a BLESSED spirit shield, if you can afford it. Mystic or higher boots. Verac helm. Mage cape.
