SportsGuy
Does anyone have a good guide for making it through the Phoenix Lair caves? I know what I have to do, where I need to go, and how to beat the Phoenix (I have decent combat stats), but it was a disaster. One guide I read mentioned bringing along the spirit wolf familiar to use Howl and get the guardians out of my way (blocking the bottlenecks)...I couldn't seem to get that to work. I feel like I should be able to complete that thing... SportsGuy
just follow certain bits of this http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=201 I already read that guide. I'm looking for something else...which is why I'm posting here. I appreciate the thought in case it was something I missed...but I didn't miss that. ovorette
I'm not sure this will tell you anything you don't know already, but there is a guide on the RSOF here: http://forum.[Please Use QuickFind Code].ws?98,99,577,58238904,goto,15 qfc: 98-99-577-58238904 And the thread author is still actively answering questions so it might be of some use to you. I have no experience with anything but the quest as I am sure my combat stats and equipment are not quite up to par for the ongoing fights. It looks like a good guide, though I haven't completely read it yet...only skimmed to make sure it was relevant. transcript80
I wear melee armour, Neitisnot helm, dragon boots. Whip + falador shield (prayer bonus) I take a super attack potion, special weapon (DDS) + the items required (knife, tinderbox, secateurs) and a dramen staff for getting there. Fill the rest of my inventory with cheap food (tuna in my case). Run to the bottlenecks, attack the creature. Protect from magic if applicable, the range and melee hits can be tanked. When reaching the phoenix, make sure you have enough prayer, and protect from magic. A nice D&D, with a nice reward! Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... SportsGuy
Is that personal experience or from a guide? Thanks for the input, I'll try that if I can't find a more in-depth guide. transcript80
Personal experience. I use welfare gear (rune plate + d skirt) and training food I have in my bank. Make a cheap, decently fast run every day, the whole lair + phoenix fight takes about 10 minutes total. Since you have lower levels, you might consider better food/armour. Take an emergency teleport if you are insecure. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
