ItzKayla
I'm trying to decide whether to use the Gnome or Barbarian Extended Course for getting 99 Agility. Barbarian gives .7 more xp, but I don't think that would make a difference. It felt a little faster getting xp at Barbarian, but a lot of people say Gnome is much faster. Are they right? 99 Agility Achieved : 9/7/
kwimbob
You want to swap to the Barbarian extended once you hit 90, supposedly. EDIT: Here's a good wikea link I found in a search here. Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]
zwyrm
Actually the barbarian one gives 15 more xp...Still not much of a difference, but i'd say it's a matter of opinion. I've been using the Barbarian course from 89. I like it better, but most people seem to stay at the Gnome course - aparently it requires less clicking... mrpadre
They are the exact same speed, but most people think that barbarian is easier, personal preference really, except if you're not using summer pies, you should probably do gnome till 93 or so. Crazyboy1102
Can't you fall from the barb advanced course? And i see a lot of people doing gnome. Also depends if you want agile. Just another Pwnage Runescape player Melee player
Troacctid
I'm told the xp rates are identical at the two courses. So it shouldn't make a difference which one you use, although you might as well do each of them at least enough to get the Agile clothes. Zaaps1
To be honest, I would use Gnome. Not because it's any better for xp, but because its location is more practical. Think about it, you have a Spirit Tree right there. It's loaded with like 7 teleports, including one to the GE. You can also use the Spirit Tree to check on Evil Trees, if you're in to that kind of stuff. You have easy access to a Gnome Glider as well, with a few more teleports. You have access to a bank that is extremely close. You do not need to teleport to CW then teleport using the Games Necklace to bank for food/pies. In addition, it's a real bank, not a bank chest, so you can easily take out your items from the GE collection box. ~It's Super Effective! In addition, it's a real bank, not a bank chest, so you can easily take out your items from the GE collection box. To be fair, you don't need to bank for food or anything at the gnome course, since you stop failing at 90, and even before then you can cover most of the damage with natural hp restoration. Also, the gnome glider is actually really far from the course, way up at the top of the Grand Tree. Also, the games necklace can teleport to a bank at Bounty Hunter; it's just not as convenient as the Ring of Duelling. And the Ring of Duelling can bring you to Mobilizing Armies if you want to access your GE or Lent Items box, and that same teleport also brings you right to a spirit tree, which duplicates all the advantages you've listed quite nicely. So most of the advantages you've listed are incremental at best and irrelevant at worst. I'd still say it's pretty even, although I do like being able to pick some coconuts on my way back from a farming run, and I personally think a spirit tree teleport is more convenient than a games necklace.
