I can't believe this game has survived ten years and still has such a huge fan base and there were over 1200 people online playing tonight. Nadril Posted August 24, 2009 Share Posted August 24, 2009 I played '99 on the dreamcast back in the day. First online console game I had ever played, was pretty fun although I sucked. Played '04 a bunch as well, although not very seriously. Finally I have UT3 right now which I really enjoy (it feels a lot more like '99 than '04) and it's a solid game, although not many play so I don't get on often. Harakiri Posted August 25, 2009 Author Share Posted August 25, 2009 I personally hate UT3...The vehicles just don't feel right and the maps aren't as original and exciting. It just doesn't feel like '99. 2004 is really hard, I know 99's campaign is nearly impossible toward the end, but 2004 starts easy and then there is a difficulty curve like running into a brick wall. I don't know many people that are a huge fan of both. No, I played one of the Quakes (two or three I believe)but didn't enjoy it quite as much as UT. Boris5000 Posted August 27, 2009 Share Posted August 27, 2009 UT2004 IS SO MUCH FUN ON LAN! Now that that is out of the way. I only have 2004 but 15 v 15 CTF on FACE-3 :) Dang, couldn't be more fun. But I found the UT2004 campaign easy-ish I think I did it on the 6th hardest difficulty, and I play against godlike bots when I play by myself. But if i play bots under the 6th hardest difficulty I win 50 - 0.
