Could you give me some advice?

 

 

 

After recently acquiring 83 summoning, I'm finding that I actually think I like the Hydra better than the level 83 familiars. Maybe it's just better on some tasks (i.e. the Black Demons I'm slaying)? I also like the fact that it gives Range experience, since I hate training range.

 

 

 

Has anyone had similar experience finding it better elsewhere?

 

 

 

It's hard to ignore how cheap a Dagannoth pouch is, though... I'm curious to know what level 83-84 summoners use, or what you used when you were that level and why.

Well i use the Lava Titan as i am training defense and would like strength experience on the side. I haven't used any other type, except for the fire titan. If you find that it gets the job done then continue to use the hydra. You could also try out the Lava Titan or Dag on some tasks.

 

 

 

Imo if you like to do Castle Wars and wanna annoy Clawers/AGSers you can use the Lava Titan scroll (it lowers the opponents spec bar as well as doing magic damage).

In theory, the Hydra should be doing less damage, because it has weaker stats and it lacks the ability to do a double hit like the other two. In practice, it's possible some enemies may simply be weaker to ranged attacks, or that perhaps the hydra has higher attack and hits more often.

 

 

 

If you want to prioritize ranged experience over melee, though, it should be a no-brainer. Go with the hydra.

Also remember their combat styles. Titan is crush, and that might play a factor.

 

 

 

I also find Hydra is the best.

 

 

 

I don't think many people are willing to sell their Dagannoth pouches. It's only cheap because you only need 1 sprit shard to make.
