Faux
http://www.dot5hosting.com/hosting.php I'm gonna need some hosting + domain for a project. I got the domain, godaddy has a sale on em. Anyway, I'm onto the hosting part now. I'm thinking of getting the Personal hosting which is 5 bucks a month. I kust want to know if anyone had experience with this hosting before and if there's any catch. Thanks in advance. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
DaN
Tip.it isnt the best place to ask. I reccomend http://www.webhostingtalk.com You will get real advice here not to mention you can also search user reviews on diffrent hosts. ~Dan64AuSince 27 Aug 2002

Ks_Jeppe
If you want a great host, i'd suggest http://www.webhostfreaks.com - they're a bit more expensive, but the server and service is just exelent, have been there for 8 months now, and haven't had one problem that weren't resolved esily - for the most part i was the reason for the problems, but they helped me anyways :D Great staff, and very very state of the art servers :D If you're willing to pay extra for greatness, go with them :)
Ryan
I haven't heard of dot5 so I can't comment on them, but site5.com and hostgator.com generally get great reviews and have very helpful support.
Faux
Thanks for the info guys. Anyway, I made my choice and went with http://cirtexhosting.com Fits most of my need (and budget) and has very good reputation in the WHT forums. Other sites I found that might work for others are http://www.hostgator.com/ http://www.site5.com/ http://www.lunarpages.com/ http://www.wirenine.com/ ^ - Decent reputation for service and great reviews from the Web Hosting Talk forums. Dot5Hosting had a pretty bad rep so I looked up others. Can any tech peeps let me add them on MSN just in case I need help? :P @Ryan: Yeah, I saw those sites too at the WHT and considered them but I thought about it and decided that I don't really need 3 gigs of space. Oh and I considered this http://www.webhostingbuzz.com/index.htm but 1 dollar for 1 gig is bit TOO unreal for me; and that I can't find anything about them on WHT. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

Looks like you made a good decision :). Webhostingbuzz is obviously overselling and I would not recommend them then.
