bjoker
"19. Enter the boat and go up one of the ladders. Towards the south side of the boat you will find another ladder, go up again." "The second map piece Now go to the west side of the ship and look for a plank on the north side. Walk over it and you'll be outside on a rock. Press the jump rock option on the rock where you are standing on, then when you've walked there, press jump rock on the rock you want to jump to. Keep doing this until you reach the end. It will take about 5% energy for each jump so try to set your movement to walk. It is possible to fail these jumps, this will cost a small amount of hp. At the end you'll find a chest with another map piece. Now go back to the ship the same way you came." The first set of directions are a little confusing, as it says south side of the boat and you wonder whether that means the standard southern direction or south in relation to the bow of the boat being north. As shown in the pic, you find out it's the latter. But the second set of directions mess you up a little more, as it's now switched. Instead of using the directions in relation to the boat, it refers to the standard directions. ...Although the pic also reveals you'd have to be brain dead not to eventually find your way around the boat, but I was bored :wall:
SportsGuy
Interesting...I think I agree that something needs to be standardized, though I would think including starboard and port would be more confusing to people that don't know nautical terms...so perhaps referencing the compass in both places would be wise? As always, it's up to the crew, but I support your suggestion... ovorette
In my opinion, all directions (NSEW) need to be relative to true north on your in-game compass. Anything else is just silly.
pokemama
Thanks for your post, you are absolutely right. I think the "south" bit was meant to distinguish the ladder on that wall versus the door (leading to the chest you unlock after the flag), but it was unclear. I've revised it to say "On the east side of the boat, on the wall leading to the upper deck, you will find another ladder." You have been credited! Incidentally, I'd love a small (less than 700 pixels in width) low detail post of the ship, or different relevant areas of the ship, if anyone would like to do some. Please post in a new topic if you are able to do that! it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
