Smithing

Featured Replies

Anyway i could train smithing without losing to much money to 70. I'm happy to spend 1 mil but any more is kinda alot for me. I have tried making my own bars but gave up after 28 mith bars...

Thanks in Advance,

One method is to camp at Avansies for addy bars and then make addy darts for profit and xp :)

edit: hmm just noticed you don't have that high level ... :(

another cheap alternative is kingdom managing.

you get easily tons of coals then mine/ buy iron and you get good xp :)

Playing since may 2001 and proud not on having any skill over 90.

Have a look at these, they might help

You can do your own calculations from there.

It looks like you don't have much stickability after 28 mith bars :|

One thing i learnt in runescape is you can't do things quick and cheap - you can do things slow and cheap, or quickly and expensive. Hence why 1 bar smithing is cheaper than 3 bar smithing.

Good luck :)

Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!

Superheat mith costs little and gives you plenty of magic xp. My smithing is 64 from doing it for magic xp.

And the xp rate is high compared to the profit/loss, about 25k-30k xp/hr. If you dont want to pay more than 1mil to get 70 smithing than superheat mith is your way to go.

You can see my magic profit guide in my sig for accurate profit/loss calculations

Superheat mith costs little

A few days ago when I get 55-60 mage from superheating, it didn't cost me little. In fact, I made 22gp/cast!

But I agree with this person, superheating is a good way as you make profit, get magic and smithing exp.

I trained using the blast furnace and smithing mithril bolts.

I even profited a small bit.

And the xp is not that bad. Especially with sc hammers.

Steel bars > Cannon Balls. I made about 5M profit from 60-70 (I think?). Abit slow though
