u can make 2.3gp/xp with bronze darts lol.

I guess it would be steel plates, as its fastest and you will lose like 1-2mil, which isn't much these days.

Maybe mithril bolts is cheaper after adding feathers, i dont know.

Look at my level and you'll understand.

If you allow MTK to collect coal (5 workers with 10 on fish or w/e to make money), then you can do steel, mith or addy plates with a tidy profit.

All 3 make profit with bought ore (and the mtk coal) being alched (buying nats)

Mith and addy make profit using superheat instead of reg smelting (again buying nats)

Pardon the ignorance, but how does one profit Superheating rather than normal smelting?

I agree with what Paw Claw said, I'm just a bit confused on that bit.

Generally, either barely profit, almost break even, or lose a tiny bit. The only real advantage to it is that you gain oodles of magic experience and it's quite a bit faster than regular smelting.

Regular smelting will pretty much always profit in any situation, except for like gold and silver. It's just slower.

Superheating is definitely the way to go if you want to raise your smithing and magic at the same time. It costs very little or profits a little.

Otherwise, the blast furnace is a very good option. I got 65-74 smithing there with a few hammers and a boatload of coal and mithril. Smithing bolts will profit, smithing platebodies will be super fast.

With my method if u crunch the numbers 5 X mith/addy ore + 6 Nats is less than 1 alch on mith/addy plate.

Mith makes a few hundred gp per plate addy makes a couple of k.

Its not vital to the method it just speeds things up a bit
