Okay, I went to the Whirlpool, dived in, but it took me back to the river or something, my friend said I got to complete Otto Godblessed's task, but how do I fish with using my hands?

Otto will tell you to go to a harpoon fishing spot and fish with your hand. Run to Catherby or anywhere you can fish for tuna/swordfish/shark and just click on the harpoon spot. Don't carry a harpoon with you because you will default to using it.

He has earlier tasks for you to complete before you can ask about barbarian fishing. Check to see if you've done them.

What fishing level do I need then?

Level 55 is the minimum, I think.

In reading it, it seems you only need to do the firemaking parts to access the cavern.

You'll need to look over at the guide and then talk to him. Check whatever task he's asking for and match it.

Nvm, I got it sorted out.

Okay, I just used my bow to make a fire without using the Tinderbox, I dived in the whirlpool and it took me back to the banks of river.

 

Now go back and talk with Otto, he will tell you about making funeral pyres with the bones of Barbarian Heroes, and then you can finally enter the Ancient Cavern .
