Does the void knight mace require a Guthix cape to be effective?

Prime still attacks whoever is closest to him (hybrids) and if you stand near the coast he shouldn't be able to reach you anyways. Just be careful when luring rex if Prime spawns at the same time, he might spazz or something.

Yep. Do I need to pray mage while I'm killing Rex? Or is that just to reduce damage by Spinylops?

You don't need any capes to charge or cast CoG with the mace (I tested it about a week ago out of curiosity).

 

It last just over 6 minutes (400 seconds I believe) and you get a message as soon as it disappears.

 

Personally I would pray magic whenever your luring and if there are more then 4 snips out (3 if your using the veracs method).

 

The rest of the time only pray magic (or any other time) if you absolutely need to (ie the hybrids run to you [this will cause prime to attack that area which will include you], supreme comes low or prime suddenly doesn't like you)

Watch out, prime can get on you alot easier than he could before....I was around 3 spaces from coast, and he got one me, while normally I could be around 5-6 and be safe.

Thanks. I wait to lure Rex until Prime is further away. I managed about 30 solo kills before I decided something was amiss with my god spells and teleported.
