Blast Furnace Running, a moneymaker?

Featured Replies

Since the new cart system has shortened the distance between the blast furnace and the bank at the ge, do you think bar running would work as a potential moneymaker?

An exchange of bars--slightly below market--for coins by the runner, to the smelter, then the runner carts to ge and sells the bars for a profit. It would solve the issue of making money-loosing stackables at the anvils, and could speed up training.

Good idea? Bad idea?

What do you think?

I'm slightly confused by what you mean. If you could clarify a bit, that would help.

Well one. You wouldn't want to do it with bars. You'd want to do it with the ores. The blast furnace helps with the making of bars. Not making things out of bars. That can be done any where.

But it probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Except that to make it better a Familiar might be more suited. And since you can't get into the GE with one it will hinder you some. But taking the ores there, getting made into bars then banking at the GE, or the bank there if using a familiar, then taking the cart might be faster then running all the way across Keldagrim.

I like the notion of taking the trapdoor to Keldagrim, smelting and then glorying back to Edgeville for banking bars or selling at the GE.

I just took a familiar from Edgeville bank through the trapdoor to Keldagrim & it worked.
