RuneScape HD - Low FPS on decent PC.

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Since returning back to RuneScape and using the new HD version I've noticed that RuneScape isn't as smooth as it should be.

My specs -

Core 2 Duo E4600

4GB DDR2 Ram

HD 4870 512MB Graphics card

Using Windows Vista Ultimate 64-Bit

Is their a certain setting that seems to make the FPS much lower? I turned shadows off and it helped a bit.

I can play new games on this PC fine without a problem, all my drivers are up to date etc.

Any information appreciated.

Cheers

Nope, I'm on an 8MB internet connection. I'm getting FPS problems, not lag. Please notice that these are different things.

They can be associated. FPS gets throttled with lag.

Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
