Equiptment I should buy

Hey guys.

 

I just recently came back to RS about 2 weeks ago from a 1 and a half year break. Right now I currently own..

 

• Fire cape
  
• Full Guthan
  
• Dragon legs
  
• Whip
  
• Fighter Torso
  
• 5.1M cash
  

 

I am doing a LOT of slayer and combat related stuff, but I dont know if I should go with full Verac for barrows/god wars or a fury and keep some cash spare. If I get the verac I can sell the dragon legs and replace with a verac skirt for defense bonuses before healing with guthan, but I'm not quite sure how the market/stats are now a days so I need your help.

 

If it helps, my combat stats are..

• 114 Combat
  
• 87 Attack
  
• 92 Strength
  
• 81 Defense
  
• 89 HP
  
• 63 Prayer
  
• 52 Summoning

Spend some money or something to get 70 prayer, otherwise your gear is pretty good, you can keep your guthans till about 68 summoning when you can replace most healing with a Bunyip. A fury is also something you could get, and yes i think you should get verac's skirt.

Fury, use Guthans legs instead of dragon, warrior ring, then slay till you can get 68 summoning, in which case go to verac's skirt, and sell guthans. Then save up money for 70 prayer, and that's all you'll really need for the next month or so.

Don´t use Guthan Legs, they have so little melee defence that it´s almost better to wear nothing at all. Swap your Dragon legs with a piece of Barrows equipment (Torag/Dharok legs or Verac Skirt) and get yourself a Fury. If you need some more money to get for instance 70 Prayer (do it!) try killing some green dragons for bones and hides.

Since when was Guthans not a piece of barrows equipment? I think I missed the notice.

 

Torag legs do have a small amount of defence over Guthans but it's really not worth the extra money if you don't have much to spend.

For slaying continue to use Guthans to heal with until you reach 68 Summoning. When not needing to heal use a Black Mask, or Slayer Helm if you have it, and the Whip plus a Rune Defender. If you don't have a Rune Defender go get on from the Cyclops in the Warrior's Guild. When you need to heal just equip the Guthan's Helm and Spear. I would just sell the Dragon Legs. Then once you get 68 Summoning use the Torso and get a Verac's Skirt to use.

 

70 prayer is nice to have, but not really needed. If you plan on doing some boss hunting in groups then getting 70 will help you get on a team as you will be able to bless graves. If its going to cost most/all your GP then i wouldn't bother with it. But that is up to you.

 

Don't forget to farm and do the Manage Thy Kingdom minigame on the side to get some extra GP on the side.

I would recommend getting void range/melee if you have the spare time. Oh and rune defender, must have for anybody, well except skillers. <_<
