In the mining skill guide, in the leveling section, specifically level 60-85, it basically says mine coal if you want to make money, and mine iron if you want to level fast. However that is not the case.

 

Considering the current iron price (192gp), and comparing it to the coal price (194gp)it is fairly obvious that not only would you level faster mining iron, but you would also make far more money.

That whole section of the guide deserves a remake, imo.

that's the whole problem with Tip.It having suggestions like that in guides. prices (especially) change often and what might be good at the time of writing can soon become outdated.

 

I think the Archive of Wisdom is where all suggestions for training or money making tips (beyond the initial ones that go with being a beginner to the game) belong. Give the information (the wheres and whats) in the guides and let users draw their own conclusions or search some great player made guides in the archive of wisdom.

Thanks for the input everyone. We're actually busy doing a big rewrite of the mining guide and this is indeed one of the sections which will be (drastically) improved. However, guide writing is an intensive process and the crewbies who are doing this also have lives and stuff, so it may take some time. Thanks for you patience.
