3PointMan
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT LINK ME TO A GUIDE, I'VE READ MOST OF THEM, BUT THEY ARENT UPDATED SINCE THE SAFESPOT UPDATE So, what is the best spot now? I used to use spot 1, before the safespot update. Now, is it best to halberd at spot 3? Or should I use whip/gs at spot 2? I'm looking for most kills per trip, but also, most kills per trip with speed, less supplies used, and efficiency. [hide=MAP][/hide] Would it be best to use karil top/verac skirt/verac helm until I get used to them, then switch to void? With the current potion prices, would it be more cost efficient to use Enchanced Excalibur, Titan with Healing, and Sharks with p pots, until the prices get cheaper? Or does Brews+Restores just totally outnumber it? Thanks http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1
Mazhar
Gs/whip Spot 3I know I used spot 2 myself before but after two demons coming on me from the south too many times, I tried it with spot 3 and it worked very well Replace Gs with whip + unholy book if you wantReplace Guthix cloak with Ardy cloakDont bring unholy book if you're using the gs, it's not worth switchingTurn auto retal on if the demon that should be lured in the north is trappedYour fingers should be glued to f1 f3 f5(if you use a gs' special) to switch faster to get kills done faster, auto retal will take care of the annoying right clickingPot once every row of ppots used (every 3 ppots)Try not to eat higher than 27 hp unless the one you're killing and lured are both roaring at onceMake sure the titan is ice for 64 minutes compared to 58 and 62 fire and mossUse piety and eagle eye at all times, the faster you kill it the less prayer youll need overall and its significantly fasterDon't move to the spot you hally from when ranging unless it's meleeing you in which case you would save prayerYou should need an average of 3 doses a kill and should get around 16 (usually more) kills a pouch, which is really quick compared to 20ish with hally in 2 pouches. Depending on how fast you kill them you can get more kills in a trip, longest ive had was 21, never less than 16 though
MaxwellsHammer
Well I'm not the best TD soloer, but hopefully i can give you a few general ideas to point you in the right direction. Currently I still use spot 1, but in a different method than luring the North demon to the west side of the rock. What you must do is lure both the NW demon and the N demon into the spot where you'd normally solo the demons and then only focus on the NE demon, luring him to the east side of the north rock, making sure to get his attention as soon as he spawns. This is a little bit confusing to explain, so you'd probably be best to get someone to show you in game if you're lost. Use a gs/whip + defender here. Spot 2 I haven't really used since the safespot update, but spot 3 does seem to be unaffected by the safespot update so if you want to halberd, that is likely your only option. Unfortunately with the way that the TDs have been updated to change attack styles, I'm guessing they will switch away from melee more easily than previously, thus you'll need to use pray for most of the kill. On the plus side with the new "roar" animation showing that they're about to switch attack styles, it is now possible to be 100% safe from their attacks while halberding, providing you switch prayers quickly enough (they can only switch between mage and range so just switch prayers to the opposite one when you see them roar.) It's definitely a good idea to use karil's/verac's until you get used to the new update, as the demons tend to all use different attack styles even without being attacked, so if 3 demons get on you death can occur in a few seconds if they get some lucky hits. (Demons used to only use their magic attack until they were attacked by a player/familiar at which point they'd have a chance of switching). Enhanced excalibur+ titan + sharks would probably be a better idea than super restores at the moment, mainly because you can bank quick enough that the time saved from camping for longer periods of time with brews/super restores just isn't worth it. As well its easier to avoid taking damage than before thanks again to the new "roar" animation, so you should need less healing overall providing you don't screw up. The only thing I recommend against is using an EE, as SGS/BGS/AGS/D Hally specs either allow for more healing or give you much quicker kills which is the ultimate goal at TDs. Even if you're using a whip/ZGS i'd recommend bringing a D hally just for the special, as for me at least it really speeds up kills. Side Note: rahzaM are you talking about soloing TDs from the west side of the north rock post safespot update? If so could you please explain how you managed to lure the demons as I tried multiple times without any success whatsoever. If that spot is still doable most of my post is entirely nullified and I'll be a very happy panda lol.

It's the same spot you hally from, but instead of hallying you would be using a gs instead Edit: are you talking about this spot? [hide][/hide] If yes, then no it's not where I solo, but it's where a friend does and he knows how to use that spot in his solos, but I haven't tried it myself, although id imagine its the same since neither spot really gets more than 1 demon on you

Got spot 1 confused with 3 when you mentioned it despite getting them right in my post :wall: . Thanks for the info though anyways, good to know that spot is still fairly easy, I might look into it more if I get annoyed with spot 1. Edit: are you talking about this spot? If yes, then no it's not where I solo, but it's where a friend does and he knows how to use that spot in his solos, but I haven't tried it myself, although id imagine its the same since neither spot really gets more than 1 demon on you Yeah that's the spot I meant, but you used to be able to get a very good hally spot just north of where you both are, where no demons could interrupt you with just a little bit of effort (spot mentioned in the Tip.it Guide). Now the TD can't move diagonally as well so he gets stuck in the place in your picture rather than a little north of there which is the 'traditional' spot. inoskedyou
I use spot 3 with hally with karil/verac gear.I think EE is best to use there as it can really help if you find yourself in a pinch.as far as efficiency for me i last 2 titans and usually bank with 3 more ppots. To me gs'ing isnt worth it as you are praying upto 50% more then safespotting with a hally.
