Possible PVP Updates

Featured Replies

Hi,

many, many people have constantly been raaaaaaaaaaaaaging about the PVP updates since they came out. I have come up with a possible solution.

Introduction-

The original PVP updates were implemented to prevent people from real world trading. They did no such thing... Constantly Jagex have update after update trying to prevent people from RWT'ing with no luck. RWT'ers are still thriving in RS and have now resorted to junk trading in some cases, which is something Jagex can not possibly patch. There are many other ways that people RWT also.

My point is, Jagex have degraded their PVP to a standard where you almost get random drops. Despite what the other players are risking, be it 76k or 10m. And stll they havn't removed RWT.

The Idea-

My idea is basically the current trade limit, but increased and implemented on PVP drop value. I suggest that Jagex limits a daily drop amount to 5 million in value. It is a very simple concept, but i think that it could massively reduce the amount of real world trading (or at least the effectiveness).

The Research-

I have done contacted 16 people that have used a very popular Runescape gold selling site. All but two of these people gave me an amount of gold they received in a specific time frame. I averaged out the 14 times and amounts and found that the average amount of gp that can be sold in a single hour by this one site is just under 2.4m. This means that if they were to do only 5 hours of this, they would be able to transfer 12 million gp.

The Pros and Cons-

Pros:

-Would limit RWT'ers to a set amount per day, which would mean they may have to spend days upon days to fulfill orders.

-Would eliminate 76k tricks. Completely.

-Would revive the old PKing, the one which thousands of people have ranted about the loss of since the day it was removed.

-Could also be implemented in the duel arena, with shared limits between PKing and dueling.

Cons:

-Would limit the profit made from PKing.

-May be tricky for Jagex to make a drop close to 5m.

Would love some feed back :D

ummm what exactly are you preposing?

Words are only interpertaions of opinions.

He's saying you'd have a limit on the amount of loot per day. So, you can go and kill all you want, but you'll only ever get 5M of loot max. I like the idea myself, except for when you're doing high risk - high reward activities; you could pk a whip at today's prices, and that'd be basically all you get for the rest of the day. And on the off chance you kill someone with claws/gs, you can't ever get it (even though it is only like a 1% chance now).

Anyways, I like the idea, but its also fairly limiting for those who do real high-risk pking.

So basically you can only receive up to 5m in drops per day? That does nothing...
