While seeming morally responsible since you already bought the CD, it probably is still illegal (assuming you mean downloading it without paying for it). But ripping a CD in the first place should be easy, if you need help with that.

Given that you jsut have to load windows media player and go to rip

or itunes and clikc yes i want to rip this.

Ripping is hardly rocket science

Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills ::  Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA Rewards

Dragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Morally it is fine but legally it is not. If you need a ripper use iTunes or google something.

Still illegal, although I'm more than willing to give you help on ripping a CD.

If you use iTunes or Windows Media Player (which I'll assume you do): in iTunes it's as simple as inserting the CD into your CD drive and clicking "Import CD". In Windows Media Player, it's a similar process. In Winamp, it's once again similar but you'll have to click the CD in the media library window and select the folder you want it ripped to.

If you use foobar2000, it gets a bit more complicated. First you need the LAME encoder (found here). Extract it and copy the folder into C:\Program Files\foobar2000. Then start up foobar and insert your audio CD. Go to File -> Open Audio CD. If you've got thr freedb tagger installed, you can tag it like that but otherwise you'll have to enter the information randomly. Then click on rip and you'll get a converter dialog. Change the converter output to MP3 and bump up the quality to V0 and okay everything. Then navigate to C:\Program Files\foobar2000\lame3.98.2 and open lame[Caution: Executable File]. Then select the folder you want to convert into, and start the conversion.

Hope I helped.
