Need some Runecrafting advice.

I'm F2P, so no mentioning of P2P methods.

So, what I'm currently training on atm is earth runes with gloves on. However, I got a few questions regarding this.

1) Are gloves really that worth it? I heard from somewhere that the time spent getting gloves equates to the time spent crafting 1000 essence, but I'm not so sure.

2) Should I do anything other than earths? Like, airs or fires for experience? I know waters are good for profit though.

3) Should I do tiaras?

4) Is Great Orb Project good for Runecrafting experience?

5) Is it worth buying things with Runecrafting tokens?

6) Is the difference between 1kg and 2kg really that great?

7) Do runecrafting robes and talisman staffs really give an invisible runecrafting boost?

Thanks for the patience to answer my questions.

1. I've heard so. RC'ing is boring so why not mix it up?

2. Depends if your after exp or gp, fires are a no-no as there too slow on F2P and lose too much.

3. If you have the gp, but really not worth it IMO.

4. No idea sorry

5. Pure ess (not sure if F2P can get it) is a good money maker, the other uses are more P2P

6. Not played F2P for so long I can't help there.

7. Nope they only help in the minigame.

Hope I helped.

1) Are gloves really that worth it? I heard from somewhere that the time spent getting gloves equates to the time spent crafting 1000 essence, but I'm not so sure.

- I was able to get 150-225 tokens/hour at FoG; essentially, you make up for the rc experience lost while fogging with the double exp from the gloves. If nothing, it does help add some variety

2) Should I do anything other than earths? Like, airs or fires for experience? I know waters are good for profit though.

- I stuck to waters as I had GoP tokens and FoG gloves; ~30-35k exp/h

3) Should I do tiaras?

- Body tiaras are ~15-20k exp/h, but remember that it can cost quite a bit. The other tiaras are not worth the cost.

4) Is Great Orb Project good for Runecrafting experience?

- If you can get yourself a good partner and win each game, you can get ~3k tokens/hour with about 7kish exp/h. Probably one of the most fun things to do in RS

5) Is it worth buying things with Runecrafting tokens?

- Tablets help speed runecrafting up considerably, though you can also trade them in for tallys for money.

6) Is the difference between 1kg and 2kg really that great?

- 1kg is probably not that significant, as you can rest to restore energy.

7) Do runecrafting robes and talisman staffs really give an invisible runecrafting boost?

- They were supposed to give an invisible rc bonus in GoP but I really haven't noticed any difference.

Hope this helped.

Pure essence are not obtainable in F2P. I heard water/fire talismans make good money as well.

As I've tested, you can get about 7.5k exp per hour with fires + the ring (the most exp without using gloves). I usually do those after I do waters/earths to balance the loss.

Dang, I thought the robes and staff really do help. Oh well, I'll just get the staff for the altars then.

And yes I mix it up. I always do waters, earths, and fires. I used to do airs, before I realized the awesome profits of waters. I never do minds or bodies.

Thanks for your help btw!

2) Should I do anything other than earths? Like, airs or fires for experience? I know waters are good for profit though.

- I stuck to waters as I had GoP tokens and FoG gloves; ~30-35k exp/h Wow, never knew that waters give that much exp/hour. I thought it maxes out at 11k exp/hour with gloves?

3) Should I do tiaras?

- Body tiaras are ~15-20k exp/h, but remember that it can cost quite a bit. The other tiaras are not worth the cost. I'll probably try them out sometime when I have enough cash.

4) Is Great Orb Project good for Runecrafting experience?

- If you can get yourself a good partner and win each game, you can get ~3k tokens/hour with about 7kish exp/h. Probably one of the most fun things to do in RS Not sure how to get a good partner for GOP though... I'll stick to 50/50ing I guess.

5) Is it worth buying things with Runecrafting tokens?

- Tablets help speed runecrafting up considerably, though you can also trade them in for tallys for money.I'll buy talismans then.

6) Is the difference between 1kg and 2kg really that great?

- 1kg is probably not that significant, as you can rest to restore energy. Ah, I see. Then it won't matter whether or not I use a tiara or talisman staff then.

7) Do runecrafting robes and talisman staffs really give an invisible runecrafting boost?

- They were supposed to give an invisible rc bonus in GoP but I really haven't noticed any difference. So it's just in the minigame? Darn.

Hope this helped.

If you're a decent FOG Player then yes, RC Gloves are totally worth it. It got me to 65 RC f2p.

Here is what i would suggest doing: Play GOP for a few days, get as many tokens as you can and spend all of them on Air/Water Teletabs. Then spend a few days playing FOG and get as many tokens as you can (save themfor buying Air/Water RC Gloves later on). Do this untill you have enough Tokens (GOP and FOG) for crafting atleast 20k Rune Essence. The once you have this and you start RuneCrafting have the runes needed to teleport to Varrock in your Inventory aswell as the Teletabs needed for the rune you are crafting. I would suggest doing water runes as you should come out with the least loss. This should be te fastest method of gaining Exp in F2P without loosing too much (also this is very efficient because you cut down on grinding RC itself).

Please correct me if im wrong.

What about earth runes? I heard they make a tiny bit of profit, but should I do them over airs/waters?

I'm not a very big fan of minigames due to "log-on screen glitching", so I don't think I'll do GOP. I'll do FOG though.

Im not sure about the current price of f2p runes, i just went with waters or airs because its what i did. But without GOP Teletabs this method really isnt as good. But still, get the gloves. Like i said if you're any good at FOG then its very much worth it.

Ok then, I'll get gloves. Thanks for your advice!

Btw, airs are about 15gp each, waters 45gp each, earths 25gp each, and fires 7gp each.

Hmm, okay. I'll do waters again as soon as I use up my earth runecrafting gloves.
