In the Varrock Diary Easy Task section there is the task "Venture through the cobwebbed corridor in Varrock Sewers." The web no longer requires slashing you have to squeeze through it instead so a knife or other slash weapon aren't needed.

 

Also in the Varrock Diary Medium Task section there is the task "Escape from the spider lair in Varrock Sewers with some red spider's eggs." Which also doesn't require a knife of slash weapon since the update.
